Design Challenge
JHTNA is made up of four separate divisions, three of which merged into a new facility. At the time that Lerdahl Business Interiors was contracted, Horizon Fitness, Matrix Fitness and the parent company Johnson Health Tech were operating out of three separate locations in DeForest, Lake Mills and McFarland, Wisconsin. In the interest of maintaining one vendor through the pre-design phase to documentation and implementation, Lerdahl Business Interiors was employed to work with the client, architect and builder to consolidate the three facilities. The challenge was to create an environment that incorporated the needs of all three companies while increasing collaboration and ease of operations under the umbrella of one business culture reflecting the three groups.
The Lerdahl Advantage
With the goal of creating a single source solution for the project team, Lerdahl's services began at the programming stages to understand the department and overall needs of the groups. LBI was able to compile accurate and complete information for use in the planning process. It was LBI's responsibility to communicate findings and program documentation to the project team. This detailed process allowed them to form solid relationships with the team members and staff gaining a strong sense of culture and image that the group wanted to achieve in the new facility. Gaining an understanding of the program to be applied to the additional phases made the next steps in the process such as space planning, inventory re-purposing, developing furniture typicals and furniture specification seamless. To complete the project design vision, Lerdahl provided furniture project management, project management of the employee and inventory move and installation of both new and existing furniture and equipment.
