How to Budget for an Office Remodel, Relocation, or Redesign

Plan with Confidence, Guided by 40+ Years of Workplace Interior Design Expertise

If you’re starting to plan an office remodel, corporate relocation, or workspace redesign, one of the first questions you’re likely asking is: How do we create a realistic budget for our workplace project?

You’re not alone. Most teams don’t navigate this process often. At LERDAHL, we’ve been helping clients through complex commercial interior projects for more than 40 years. Our role is to simplify the unknowns, guide you through each step, and help you build a budget that sets your project up for success.

Why Budgeting with LERDAHL Works

We’re more than a commercial furniture vendor, we’re your strategic partner. Our experienced Project Consultants provide insight, structure, and support to help you align your vision with your financial goals from day one.

With LERDAHL, your budget isn’t a guess. It’s a plan.

Budgeting Process

We use a phased, collaborative approach to workspace budget planning, ensuring accuracy and flexibility at every stage:

  1. Rough Budget Estimate

Before design begins, we gather basic project information and use our decades of experience to provide a high-level estimate for office furniture, services, and installation. This gives you clarity on what’s feasible before you commit to detailed planning.

  1. Fluid Budget

As your floor plan, furniture selections, and finishes evolve, we refine your budget in real time. You can prioritize key areas, scale back as needed, and make informed decisions based on real numbers, not assumptions.

  1. Final Proposal

When all selections are finalized, we present a detailed, line-by-line proposal that includes furniture, project management, installation, and delivery. No surprises, just a clear, complete view of what comes next.

Designed for Flexibility and Value

No two companies are alike, and no two office projects should be either. We offer solutions that fit a wide range of aesthetics, functionality needs, and price points. Whether you’re creating a collaborative open-plan space or updating executive offices, we help you find options that match your goals and your budget.

Our team works hard to ensure you get the most value out of every dollar spent.

A Complete, Full-Service Budget

Unlike other providers, our budgets account for the entire scope of your project, not just the furniture. That includes:

  • Space planning and design services
  • Professional project management
  • Delivery and installation
  • Ongoing communication and support

This comprehensive approach prevents last-minute surprises and ensures a smoother experience from start to finish. Learn more about the LERDAHL process and how we discover, define, design, and deliver your project.
